Workshop 1: Beginning Calisthenics

MCHQ is excited to announce our brand new series of mini workshops. The first of which is a beginners workshop covering the fundamentals of beginning calisthenics bodyweight training.
The aim of the beginners calisthenics workshop is to arm you with enough knowledge and technical know-how to undertake bodyweight training on your own. Whether you plan to use calisthenics routines for yourself, or with your clients if you work in the industry, this workshop will teach you what you need to know to get going.
The workshop will start at 11am and go till 1pm. Expect an intense coverage of the core concepts of bodyweight training with plenty of learning and application throughout. Over the two hours we will cover the following:
Stretching and flexibility
Fundamental bodyweight positioning
Training aids, bands and equipment
Progressions and regressions, and how to use them
Prehab and rehab
Bodyweight Strength concepts
Conditioning with bodyweight
By the end of the workshop you will have a good understanding of how to implement bodyweight moves in to your own training.
